I wrote Between Each Breath during the hardest part of my life, something many parents know too well.
I never thought much about the word "preemie" until I realized I'd be having two of them at the same time, two months early.
Between the walls of those plastic incubators, my babies sleeping inside them, and their monitors beeping above, I wrote a women's fiction novel loosely inspired by everything I lived through, before during and after.
The day they were due, is the day I chose as publication date for this novel.
